Donald Trump Endorses Mitt Romney

Donald Trump has confirmed he will endorse Mitt Romney for the GOP presidential nomination.

In a surprise twist, Trump endorsed Romney — not Newt Gingrich, whose camp had been so confident of winning the endorsement that it had leaked that Trump would support the former House speaker.

Gingrich’s camp was so confident of Trump’s endorsement that those close to the former House speaker confirmed it Wednesday night for news organizations, including the AP. One of those officials said Trump had “sent signals” to Gingrich that he would support him. That individual declined Thursday to elaborate on what those signals were.

“I will be making a major announcement tomorrow (Thursday, February 2) at 12:30 pm at Trump International Hotel & Tower, Las Vegas, Nevada,” Trump tweeted on Wednesday. “I will be arriving this evening at approximately 11:30 pm. The announcement will pertain to the Presidential race. All media welcome.”

For months now, Trump, who considered a presidential bid himself, has said he would weigh in on the presidential race with an endorsement. In 2011 Trump met one-on-one with a number of candidates in the Republican presidential field. He said in discussing an endorsement that he has a “good, good sight on everybody.”

But it’s hard to imagine the candidates would get away with standing this close to guy who thinks what Trump thinks if the guy wasn’t Trump, who gets a surprising pass on all this stuff most of the time.

Donald Trump’s Open Letter to Obama regarding China’s New Imposed US Auto Tariffs

Donald Trump does not take kindly to China raising import duty taxes on US cars.  Trump made Obama aware by writing an open letter.

Dear President Obama,

In reading today’s New York Times Business section, I came across an article written by Keith Bradsher entitled “China Imposes New Tariffs of U.S. Vehicles.” In fact, I had to take a second look to ensure that I was reading the article headline correctly. I did not need to read past the first sentence of the article before realizing how little respect the Chinese government has for you and your administration. In case you did not come across the article, the opening sentence reads, “The Chinese government increased trade tensions with the Obama administration Wednesday evening by unexpectedly imposing anti-dumping and anti-subsidy tariffs on imports of sports utility vehicles and midsize and large cars from the United States.”

This new and unfair tariff, which amounts to a 22 percent increase in the import price, evoked the weakest response imaginable from Carol Guthrie, a spokesperson for the Office of the United States Trade Representative. Her response was, “We are very disappointed in this action by China…and will be discussing the latest action with both our stakeholders and Congress to determine the best course going forward.” For the past year, I have been clamoring to do exactly to China what they are now doing to us. When are you going to take a stand and stop permitting China to destroy our great nation? You should immediately issue a response to the President of China declaring that a 25 percent tax on every product China produces and imports into the United States will be immediately imposed.

How much more money are you willing to permit China to take from our economy? Isn’t 370 billion dollars a year enough? It’s time to wake up and realize that China is committing economic terrorism against the United States. You are single-handedly allowing numerous countries to destroy our great nation and everything that we stand for.

Trump Abandons His GOP Debate

Donald Trump excuses himself today from moderator of his debate.  There is a possibility that Trump may enter the presidential 2012 nomination in May after “The Apprentice” has the final airing.

“I must leave all of my options open because, above all else, we must make America great again!”

“The Republican Party candidates are very concerned that sometime after the final episode of The Apprentice, on May 20th, when the equal time provisions are no longer applicable to me, I will announce my candidacy for President of the United States as an Independent and that, unless I conclusively agree not to run as an Independent, they will not agree to attend or be a part of the Newsmax debate scheduled for December 27, 2011. It is very important to me that the right Republican candidate be chosen to defeat the failed and very destructive Obama Administration, but if that Republican, in my opinion, is not the right candidate, I am not willing to give up my right to run as an Independent candidate. Therefore, so that there is no conflict of interest within the Republican Party, I have decided not to be the moderator of the Newsmax debate. The American people are embarrassed by the gridlock currently taking place in Washington. I must leave all of my options open because, above all else, we must make America great again! I would like to thank Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum for having the courage, conviction, and confidence to immediately accept being a part of the Newsmax debate. I believe this would not only have been the most watched debate, but also the most substantive and interesting debate!”

Donald Trump to Host a GOP Debate

A new reality show will grace the airwaves with an already famous celebrity host.

Donald Trump will use his moderator skills in Des Monies, Iowa, December 27, 2011 for a friendly GOP debate.

His teammate will be Newsmax, a conservative news outlet.

Newsmax sent candidates the invitation on Friday afternoon. It began, “We are pleased to cordially invite you to “The Newsmax Ion Television 2012 Presidential Debate,” moderated by a truly great American, Mr. Donald J. Trump.”
