Holder Received Memos On “Fast & Furious” : House Oversight Committee Releases Documents

Holder knew, Hussein knew and cover-up is intended. Liars, all of them.

Attorney General Eric Holder received at least five briefing memos about operation Fast and Furious, which runs contrary to what he told Congressional investigators in sworn testimony.

Issa added that, Attorney General Holder has failed to give Congress and the American people an honest account of what he and other senior Justice Department officials knew about gunwalking and Operation Fast and Furious. The lack of candor and honesty from our nation’s chief law enforcement officials in this matter is deeply disturbing,” Issa said.

“With the fairly detailed information that the Attorney General read, it seems the logical question for the Attorney General after reading in the memo would be “why haven’t we stopped them?” Grassley said in a statement. “And if he didn’t ask the questions, why didn’t he or somebody in his office?”

Melson’s Testimony Proves Fast and Furious was an Obama Plot

On July 4th, Acting ATF Director Ken Melson testified for hours before representatives of the Grassley/Issa congressional committees. Personal counsel in tow, Melson made a number of allegations concerning the Department of Justice and two agencies under DOJ control—the FBI and the DEA.

According to his testimony, not only did the DOJ refuse his repeated requests that the ATF be permitted to provide information demanded by the congressional committees, the Department also arranged for tax dollars from the FBI and DEA to help finance Fast and Furious straw buyers.

And as Fast and Furious supplied weapons were found at the murder scenes of both ICE agent Jaime Zapata and Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, it means that both killings were financed by American taxpayers.

That is, the FBI and DEA were working with the same drug dealing, gun trafficking higher ups the ATF was ostensibly targeting and hoping to unmask with Fast and Furious.

Special Counsel To Investigate AG Holder: Fast and Furious

House Republicans are calling for a special counsel to determine whether Attorney General Holder perjured himself during his testimony House Judiciary Committee on Operation Fast and Furious.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, was sending a letter to President Obama on Tuesday arguing that Holder cannot investigate himself, and requesting the President instruct the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., “of all people, should be familiar with the difference between knowing about an investigation and being aware of questionable tactics employed in that investigation since documents provided to his committee show he was given a briefing that included the fast and furious operation in 2010 – a year before the controversy emerged,” the official continued.

Issa told Fox News on Tuesday morning that Holder saying he didn\’t understand the question rather than he didn\’t know of the program is not a successful defense to perjury.

ATF’s ‘Fast and Furious’:43 Weapons in Phoenix Traffic Stop

Why a tone-deaf ear from the government? Did Holder, in April 2009 at the Mexico/United States Arms Trafficking Conference, have anything to do with the operation?  Did Napolitano’s long time aid and now the U.S. Attorney for Arizona, Burke, appointed to the position by President Obama soon after his election, was reported to have provided “legal guidance” to the ATF on the operation.

Note the following from the stimulus bill: $40,000,000, for competitive grants to provide assistance and equipment to local law enforcement along the Southern border, which $10,000,000 shall be transferred to ‘‘Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses’’ for the ATF Project Gunrunner’.
