Troll all you like. We do not know what this man knew. He could have been involved in an operation the government wants covered up. Chris Kyle is also an outspoken supporter of the second amendment. Combined that with his popularity, living in Texas, and being at a gun range (a non-gun free zone). Its the perfect, “Guns don’t make you safer,” argument for the liberals. “Look,” they’ll say, “Not even the very best of us are safe.” I’m probably wrong but its possible.

My family comes from Germany, and my patenrs grew up in Germany during Hitler’s rise and World War II. As a result, I have been a student of German history and language my entire life. Upon seeing the year 1933 in the very first paragraph of the blog piece, I sat astounded (as opposed to standing all amazed?) that anyone knowledgeable about history would even remotely consider suggesting that a positive article written about Hitler during that time period would have anything to be ashamed of. As has been pointed out by others, few at that time would have had any concept for what the next dozen years would bring. One might even argue with audacity that he brought the struggling German people hope and change at a time of international economic chaos. If there is a lesson to be learned by the existence of the 1933 Church News article, it is that people should be wary of soaring political rhetoric where utopia is presented as achieveable on the backs of some targeted elite who are blamed for the shortcomings of others. We should always remember when judging the past with the benefit of hindsight that someday someone will do unto us as we have done unto others. Good luck with that.
