My wife was complaining, she would never get to eat another Hostess Snow Ball. I kind of liked the powder coated strawberry filled donuts. Just memories now of how they tasted. I told her to get used to beans and rice–she grimaced. lol

Some company in china might buy it up. I ordered a cream canoe baking pan kit so I can make the Twinkies myself. Why risk eating something not made in the U.S. Not to mention all the products made with high fructose corn syrup
Fun website and I love the Bullshit meter but the Hostess write up might require reevaluation, there is a lot more to this issue than the constant diarrheal discharge than the main sleeze media is passing out for news. Like everything else, there’s 2 sides to every story, sometimes 3 so further reading gave some interesting results.
Did you read of the pay increases for upper echelon management? Multiple hi roller ineffective CEO’s that were hired as the workers were taking pay cuts over the last few years? I’m talkin’ huge increases for these management idiots, not chump change and the savings from the pay cuts were never put back into the company, it was skimmed by management and given that sales were flat lining for years, this was insane. Bottom line? Not unlike the Air Traffic Controllers years ago, the workers had taken enough so I can’t say I totally blame them, management was bleeding them to death. How about managements inability to forcast the needs of the public and offering healther alternatives ? Nope.. not there either..
Union bashing has been popular for a long time and certainly the Teamsters and BCTGM had some pretty idiotic work rules but I think management and labor have to take the hit together on this one.. Unfortunately, everybody lost but with care, it could have been fixed and it might still be saved.. a situation not unlike the US.
Hope springs eternal, what can I say, I’m an optimist.
