How can anyone not love these cute little creatures?! They are in the rat family, but they are just too, too cute. While living upstate, NY and performing on the right side of the Hudson, there were chipmunks all over my moms estate. I fed them little black sunflowers all the time. They would fill up their little mouths, making the mouth as big as their bodies.. It was wonderful to watch them go back and forth with their little faces filled with food for the winter. I love nature. There WILL be animals in Heaven. I am sure of that.
I love the Chipmunks with Alvin, Simon and Theodore, too!

They’re funny little critters, got one in the house once.. took about a week to get him back out.. We’d see him, open a door and try ti shoo him in the right direction– he must have been a democrat- he didn’t know left from right..
Sometimes he’d make a dead run for the door, then make a sudden turn just before he went through it..
I have lots of squirrels .. I have large maple and oak trees, and they jump back and forth and play and chase each other. Cute as can be .. of course, they ate all the plums off my tree before they were ripe, and now they’re eating my apples. Heck, they have to eat, too, don’t they? I bought a sack of corn (ugh, I hope it isn’t GM corn), and a huge sack of bird seed. Now, when I’m at the computer, I can look out my window and see my beautiful cardinals and finches feasting on their treats. Since everything has died from the heat and drought, there is nothing natural for them to eat.
The boys feed the squirrels that have become so many sometimes we find them in the house early morning. Nice creatures.
