The purpose of the 2nd amendment is the right of the people to bear arms against tryrannical government when it arises. The other two clauses listed are moot in terms of hunting and self defense.
The amendment was for the sole sake keeping the balance of power between the people and their government for times when the government gets out of hand.
The citizenry has every right to match the firing power of it’s standing armies and that should include AK’s, grenade launchers, pazookas and even missiles.
Our founders clearly understood what Americans are facing today in terms of arrogant and out of control government that is long overdue for a serious slap in the back of the head.

I think there might be a mistake in understanding what the Justice said. I have found two versions. One mentions that the 2nd Amendment leaves room for U.S. legislatures to regulate guns and explains he is referring to handguns. He even goes so fat as to say there is a possibility that hand held missile launchers might be Constitutional. That would have to be decided later. Jeff Poor, Daily Caller
In the other article there is no mention of missile launchers but is termed “the Second Amendment leaves room for U.S. legislatures to regulate guns, including menacing hand-held weapons.” John Farrell, National Journal.
Perhaps what we have is one author writing from what he hopes it means instead of what the Justice actually meant.
Wasn’t Scalia the one who grabbed the lands of Americans to comply with UN Agenda 21?
If he was, then the irony is, he was the first to lose his home and grounds. There’s a story about it, couple of years back.
