Illegals getting billions in tax refunds for kids in Mexico
A tax consultant interviewed by the TV station alleges that illegals have hatched a multi-billion dollar fraud scheme to file tax returns using what the IRS calls Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers. These numbers allow taxpayers who lack a Social Security number to file taxes.
But some illegals have chosen to use something known as the Individual Child Tax Credit, which is intended to help American workers who live at home to funnel money to children in Mexico.
