You should have known after WW1, they were broken up, then united themselves and started WW2, learning as they went- (Maginot line for example). Same thing after WW2 broken up, then united. Oh, btw, German leaders are smart. Unlike the stupid US that only knows how to bully and indulge in aggressive beligerance, Germany knows there is no way past China for Western economies. Hence, Angela Merkel visits Beijing to call for more trust in Europe but also for more Chinese investment in Germany.
America, and Britain (already trading in the yuan with China) will spit and fume.
