I remember one time in my life after the 1998 DOW crash, I was down and out…the devil came out of nowhere to tempt me with government cheese.. “Go to the social offices, and you can eat, get money, etc..” The devil is a ‘liberal’ by the way. I, of course, recognized this and rebuked it.
IF you are a REAL American, you will sell what you have, sell jewelery, clothes, collectibles, whatever it takes, but you will not drain your fellow Americans.

Food Stamps Welcomed At Restaurants (CA, our Liberal State)

We’ve known for some time that there are abuses of electronic welfare benefit (EBT) cards in California. The EBTs are accepted nearly anywhere that sells food — grocery markets, convenience stores and even restaurants. Costco does not accept food stamps or EBT cards, but Trader Joe’s does. The cards also have a cash component; they come loaded with cash allowances in addition to the electronic benefits.
What most people don’t know is that the government doesn’t keep a record of what is purchased with the cards. In the “Frequently Asked Questions” section of the Office of Systems Integration, the state agency that oversees the EBT welfare card system, one question asks, “Does the government know what I bought with my EBT card?” The answer may surprise many, especially after the recent exposure of the rampant fraud using the benefit cards:
“No,” states the FAQ. “The EBT system does not keep a record of what you buy.”
Flea markets – California is the first state in the nation to allow the use of food stamps at flea markets. Few flea markets currently participate, though the program will likely expand to those with significant food sales.

FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS TO ACCEPT FOOD STAMPS?
“Welcome to Taco Bell, will this be cash, charge or food stamps?”
Just when I thought I’d heard it all, now fast food restaurants want Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients to be eligible to use their food stamp benefit at selected restaurants. Restaurants such as Taco Bell, KFC and Subway believe that there are certain types of SNAP recipients who are homeless or living in conditions that do not allow them hot meals and these people would benefit from being able to use their food benefit at fast food restaurants.

Fresno, Calif., officials are considering legislation that would permit SNAP benefits to be used at fast food restaurants in their area. Arizona, Michigan and other parts of California already allow the practice and Kentucky is currently considering it.

Not all people who get SNAP actually abuse the government or is “taking from the government!” I worked my tail off and was told way too early in life that I am “too high risk” to be employed because of a heart condition and was RECOMMENDED by employers to seek Social Security because I had been turned down so often. My heart doesn’t always pump blood like it should and this is not good. I still don’t get much in SNAPS because of my income from SS. Nevertheless, I am one of many who need more assistance and can’t get it because of people like you who think we are just trying to scam Americans. I am a American and I need help, but I can’t get help from my own country…the same Americans you are claiming to be a part of!

I am struggling without much help from the government. So, don’t be so bias about us non-working people…some of us use to work just as hard as you!

i have nothing to sell i also wouldnt shop at a high scale store with my card I want to work but when you are in and out of hospitals people dont keep you for long. the charities (churches,temples) that used to help the poor no longer exist in the same numbers they once did to help. god forbid u or someone u love becomes ill and needs help the safety net may be destroyed by then between mismanagement and arrogance.
