I have a mixed niece. We brought her up in our Irish American family and never once told her she was mixed African American.
When she was about 3 she asked me why she looked different then me. I told her she has her fathers looks.
That was the last I ever heard her bring up her skin color.
She is now a beautiful dark skinned Irish young lady ..and yes.. wears green on St Patty’s day. lol
She has a masters degree, works with autistic children, owns her own condo and has a white boyfriend.

Well, never one to keep my opinions to myself, I’ve already expressed that mixing races is okay with me and in fact I think it strengthens our gene pool. But I try to understand the reasoning behind keeping the races seperate and having pure races as the ideal. I’ve expressed my views on in-breeding (i’m aginst it) and to a lesser degree nationalism and its impact genetically. I really haven’t studied any of this. It’s just how I feel based on my experience, education, and observations, as well as the little I’ve talked to folks about it. Although I live in a haven for neo-nazis, I have not associated with them directly and therefore have not talked to them at length. I did get into an interesting discussion in a supermarket cafe last week. There are a lot of people with extreme views up here in the hills. If I wanted to, I’m sure I could find out more about how the white supremists in my area feel and what they are doing about it. I think it’s kept pretty much underground around here. I am sure not privy to any of it. But it’s there, in many shapes and forms, actually.

I think people should have the right to feel whatever they want about whomever they want and express it however they want to, as long as it doesn’t infringe on anyone’s constitutional rights. That’s when I draw the line. I also think we should all follow the “Golden Rule.” If we all did that, we’d be a lot better off.

I am 65 years old. There was a time in our country when people didn’t marry or have relationships with other races or religions. We did not use the word racism, because it did not exist.
I, myself, am an American of Portuguese/Jewish and Scottish descent. The Mad Jewess’s father is Iroquois and WASP. So, she grew up with knowing she was a Jew and knowing half her family was Christian. My daughter looked different than the other kids at school, and this was my fault. In short; Jews should marry Jews, Christians, Christians, and races, to avoid the hurt, should stay with each-other.
My daughter makes a distinction between a good person and a bad person, even in her own people.
Why do black people that act terrible people get a pass??

I’m not going to apologize for what I said, because I firmly believe that the mixing of the White race with the negro race is immoral and against what God has ordained.
If you study the Christian Bible in Acts 17, you find that the apostle Paul said that God has created the races BUT has set the bounds of theit habitation. That means He meant for them to stay separate. Although I am a Jew and not a Christian, I recognize that portion of the Christian Bible as TRUTH. Racemixing has caused nothing but troubles, not only for the individual child who will be screwed up in not knowing who and what they are, but our nation as a whole.
When I was growing up, the only kind of White woman who would bed with a negro was a trashy White woman. It says a lot about a woman’s character if she will do something like that. Look at most of the White women who engage in it….they don’t look like the kind of woman you would want in your house.
Even Pastor Manning, the black anti-Obama pastor says this. Many blacks are just as much against this kind of thing as many Whites are.
I feel very strongly about this issue because I am old enough to remember when this was severely frowned upon, and society as a whole was much better overall. Racemixing was just one of the ills that brought out society down, and I know for a fact that the Bolsheviks orchestrated it that way.
And I truly did mean I felt terribly that someone here has to have a mulatto granddaughter. I know White people who have mulatto grandchildren, and the shame they feel when they go in public (babysitting) with them is something no child should ever bring upon their parents.
Interestingly, despite my upbringing “in the old days” I was not that much against it until my two older children (age 17 and 15) impressed upon me how disgusting it is, from what they see when they go to the mall. I started noticing it more, and saw what they were talking about. It was one of the things that led me on the path to being a WN.

Like MJ, I too come from a “mixed” background. Not mixed re: skin color, but I am half-Jewish and half-Gentile. Although I am a Jew and was raised as one, I always felt “different” because I look so Italian (I get the Italian looks from my Gentile parents’ side, of course!)
I grew up in a very religious Jewish neighborhood, and whenever a new girl would move in, the other (Jewish) girls would all go see her and we would introduce ourselves.
The new girl would ALWAYS say to me, “Are you Jewish? Because you don’t LOOK Jewish!” I was always made to feel like an outsider, even though I was as Jewish as they were, religiously speaking.
Throughout my life, I have had this happen….no one ever thinks I am Jewish based on looks…they always think I am everything but!
I have had many troubles in my life, and identity issues, due to being “mixed”. This is why I agree with MJ’s mom that mixing races, ethnicities, etc does NOT work. I think any parent who would do that is selfish and not thinking of the child AT ALL.
Look at Obama! He is half black and half-white yet HATES his white half. He refuses to even identify as mulatto. It is common for mulattoes to HATE their white parent, which is usually the mother. This is because they see the white parent as having had the “upper hand”, and they could have said “no” to the interracial relationship which produced them, but they did not. Mulattoes often blame the white parent for their mixed curse.
I’m telling you this as someone who IS “mixed”, half-Jewish and half-Gentile. I know EXACTLY how mulattoes feel, the only difference is that their difference is more noticeable than mine. I can always “pass” for 100% Jewish or 100% Italian if I try. They can’t, because their mixed status is written all over them.
The most outspoken opponents of racemixing, I have found, are people who are mixed themselves. Your daughter or son may very well have created a Frankenstein monster…just as Obama’s mother did.

JWN, I have a lot of respect for your opinions, even if I disagree. I think your sisters had a great deal of influence on you, which is natural. I idolized my big sis, who is 4 years my senior. I think you and I are close in age. Influence by peers was, and still is, huge. I developed my thinking during a time when civil rights were first being extended to blacks and every “good” white could get lots of points for accepting them as equal. I tried my best.
When I was away at college, my youngest sister (well, she is actually a wee bit older than her twin) was asked to the prom by a black friend. They weren’t involved romantically. My folks wouldn’t allow it. I was not around, but when I found out, I was incensed. I didn’t get involved as I was away but I remember how disappointed I was in my parents.
My brother went to Mexico when he was barely out of college and was targeted by a Mexican gal from the upper class. She took advantage of a smart, young professional who was clueless about women. She married him, had his child, stuck him with daggers, and almost ruined his life. I’m not sure what my point is. I think she is no different than many American women who would do the same. It just made me so mad that she made more in one year from child support for one child than I ever made in one year in my life. And when my bro lost his job, got serverence, and got another job? She filed for more of his dough. Arghhhh….
If what Paul said was true, I’m not sure what boundaries there are that G-d put up to prevent races from mixing. I remember when it was only skanks that mixed with blacks. It was almost entirely white women/black men and rarely the opposite. Then it became trendy for some white guys to date black women. Societal acceptance changes over time. Being mixed is no longer the stigma it used to be. I understand the opposition. Although I don’t agree, I think there are valid points that you make. Many blacks agree with you, as you have stated.

I have judged them on the content of their character, not so much the color of their skin. This is why I do have a few black friends, and always have. I even have a friend who is mulatto. But the difference is, I would never mate with them.
I believe in equal but separate, and I see nothing wrong with that. I do not think it is bigoted to be proud of being part of the race you are (jn my case, White), and wanting to keep my race pure. Blacks have the same right, and many choose to also exercise it.
