I am not the biggest fan of the 70’s, I was an 80’s girl, but MY GOD, do I remember the forever gas lines, watching our fellow Americans as hostages for 444 days in Iran. Wearing the hand me downs. Eating the Cube steak dinners with the disgusting tasting tater-tots. The morale of the nation was SOOOO in the gutter. The Army was a mess. It was just not the best time, but I DO remember the songs that got us through the years with Jimmy, the NUT, and worst President, UNTIL Obama came along….

GOOD BYE AMERICA.

I love all of these songs, I enjoyed this sister.
“I love all of these songs, I enjoyed this sister.”
Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This were my University days, Led Zepplin, Pink floyd, Alman Brothers,
Bruce Sprigstien, Baby We Were Were Born to Run! Free Bird, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, YES, ( the group) Eric Clapton, Santana, Genesis, Doors!!! Yes those juke boxes wer great, sitting waiting for your song to be played!
Then the R& B of Philly!
They do not make music, lyrics any longer as in the past! It seems the rockers are screaming at each other! Maybe like some people in Comgress! It was great going down memory lane! thank you so! this Music will be a part of my life 4 ever in my soul!
good memories of jr & High school. you missed Dr hooks “picture on the cover of the rolling stone”, or Walsh’s “lifes been good to me”,and who could forget REO. Keep up the good tunes. If I got any of this wrong bare with this old country music fan. Have a great day TMJ

Glad you all liked it!
Im glad you liked it 12
Incredible list of songs, and what an incredible time in our history. I just saw Elton John and Billy Joel in concert on 2/7 in Seattle. To quote another great ’70s song… “They don’t write ‘em like that anymore”! What hugely talented artists and Iconic musicians! None of the New Age garbage or rap “music” of today compares to the passion and musical abilities of the singer/songwriters of the ’70s. It was a great decade to grow up in and to have been a part of! Keep on truckin’!
Darryl, Glad you liked it
I did one on the 80′s too.
TY for coming by- there is NO music now, NONE, unless you like Lady goo Goo
Speaking of Jimmy Carter, madjewess, do you remember these:
Jimmy carter attacked by a killer rabbit
Malaise
America’s finest days are behind us
“I lusted in my heart”
Carter asks his daughter Amy about Nuclear war, and actually tells this to America (Amy went on to be a college radical. She dropped out of nuclear physics and became an art major–good job Jimmy)
If the Copter engines had of had sands sheilds, but Carter took his lumps, hindsight is a wonderful thing, he jacked up defense spending letting Reagan walk in with a primed pump and they retired all the B 1′s and the B 52′s are still flying// Sigh!!!
