Hawaii lawmakers vote to celebrate ‘Islam Day’ Associated Press AP - 5/7/2009 7:35:00
AM HONOLULU – Hawaii’s state Senate has overwhelmingly approved a bill to celebrate “Islam Day,” despite the objections of a few lawmakers who said they didn’t think the state should honor a religion connected to Sept. 11, 2001.
The resolution to proclaim Sept. 24, 2009, as Islam Day passed the Senate on a 22-3 vote Wednesday. The bill was previously passed by Hawaii’s House of Representatives.
The bill recognizes what it calls “the rich religious, scientific, cultural and artistic contributions” that Islam and the Islamic world have made.
But the Senate’s two Republicans argued that radical Islamists cheered the 2001 attacks. They also noted that other religions didn’t have a special day honored.
The lone Democrat voting in dissent opposed it on church-state separation grounds
People…this is EVIL. Totally EVIL.
Islam has ZERO to do with America…but really….WHAT can we EXPECT… Hussein Obama LIVED there, LIES and claims he’s “born there” – which he wasn’t, he was born in KENYA, but what is VERY sad, is that Hawaii has SUBMITTED itself to EVIL. No longer will Hawaii be the happy place it was.
I fear that God will probably punish Hawaii terribly and the volcanos there will erupt. People FORGET that God is ALIVE and WELL & MAD AS HELL.
