The ‘music’ was filled with thoughts of drugs, sodomy, orgies, and all sorts of abominations. It was a wicked, evil time, that, frankly sepaking, America never really recovered from.

We were committed to causes and not afraid to suffer the consequence of confronting those who would keep civil rights only for a chosen few. From your picture array you also know nothing about women’s rights. Spend time chatting with those who were there, and still want equal pay for equal work. Many women stayed feminine and still needed to work to support families. Divorce didn’t begin in the 1960s. Trash a time and situation you didn’t know and were not a part of – it seems the fashionable thing to do these days.

I was there in the 60′s, the worst decade in American history. It was a decade that began with 3 year corporate obsolescence, music where vocal talent was no longer required since they buried your voice with loud electric insturments. It was a decade of freaks, nude and dressed, and riots, not love. Love was an expression. Actuality was riots. It was a decade of dirt and drugs and worst of all, spitting on returning troops, most of whom were drafted and didnt want to be in Vietnam. It was a decade where many teens killed themselves with LSD, see Art Linkletter’s daughter. It was a decade of ‘me’ ‘me’ ‘me’ and the spoiled coddled kids of the 1950s became immature teens and young adults in the 60s, shirking all responsibilities for self indulgance.
